Magicians everywhere, were shocked and saddened to learn of Recil Bordner’s sudden death. A few weeks earlier he had been joking, kidding and helping many of us attending the annual gathering in Colon. As in so many previous years, he had been the first and last person I talked to when visiting the magic capital. Always quiet, somewhat shy and retiring, he tackled his many tasks with a sort of boyish grin. His presence will be missed by many… certainly by me…we first met in the thirties. I join the hundreds of many friends in extending deepest sympathy to his devoted wife Eda Mae and two sons, Greg and Martin, in their great loss.
